Rebecca Gordon is a renowned New York City astrologer, founder of near 20 year running Astrology School, and co-author of Your Body and the Stars. She is the resident astrologer for Harper’s Bazaar, and has been featured in leading publications like The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Financial Times, Forbes, The Oprah Magazine, Vogue, and television shows like Dr. Oz, CNN, and Fox News, among others. Rebecca has worked with top luxury companies such as Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Agent Provocateur, and more. It is Rebecca’s mission to align people with their own unique brand of stardust so they can live their true potential.

Casey is the founder of Casey Altman Design, a multidisciplinary, boutique design firm based in NYC. Working with clients all over the country and across multiple industries, Casey is a creative, organized, and thoughtful leader who recently moved back to Aspen from NYC in 2020 and has opened an office in the mountains.

Social Media Video Editor
Job Description
The Social Media Video Editor role for Rebecca Gordon Astrology is here to repurpose content from the Beginners Astrology Class. You would be pulling short clips of snackable content during our weekly classes that capture key highlights and will then translate them into Instagram reels/grid posts within 24-48 hours. You would need to have a knowledge of iMovie, caption adders, Canva, or supplementary video apps.
You will not need to write or create original content.
The right person for this role is an experienced social media content creator who has demonstrated expertise in creating graphic assets and content.
Must also be located in Eastern Standard Time-zone.
Ideal location: New York City Area
Required Qualifications:
Self-starter who collaborates well with others
Background in social media marketing/creative design
Demonstrated experience using Canva, YouTube, and iMovie (or similar app)
Social media management skills, specifically Instagram
Video editing and content creating experience
Innovative and open to making suggestions based on your expertise
Some editorial skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Natural problem solver and self-starter
a plus if you have:
Experience with Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop
Experience with video animations
TERMS OF POSITION:
This will be a paid position during the span of the Beginners Astrology class. At the end of the course, we may decide to partner with you on upcoming workshops, webinars, and courses.
